Message from Principal

On behalf of the staff at Natchitoches Junior High-Frankie Ray Jackson School, I am happy to welcome you to the 2018-19 school year! We are looking forward to a productive partnership with you to ensure our children can achieve their highest potential. We recognize that in order to be successful in school, our children need support from both the home and school. We know a strong partnership with you will make a great difference in your child’s education. As partners, we share the responsibility for our children’s success and want you to know that we will do our very best to carry out our responsibilities. The middle years are a time for growth, challenge, and discovery. At NJH-FRJS, we encourage and prepare students to participate fully, to take calculated risks, to be self-advocates, and to create lasting memories and relationships with peers and staff. I am proud to be the principal of such an exciting and dynamic school.
The foundation for our students’ success is based on the partnership among students, staff, and parents. Active parent participation is essential to our success. Parents can check academic progress regularly via our student progress center and can access information about school events on our website. Teachers provide a nurturing environment in which young adolescents can learn, take risks, and thrive. Student work, in partnership with our parent community, has and will continue to support us to fulfill our school mission. Again, we are looking forward to working with each of you and your child/children this year. We believe that Together Everyone Achieves More. We are one team united for one common purpose – to educate our children. Our TEAM includes students, parents, teachers, and the community!

Vision

To engage everyone in a united effort to provide lifelong learning.

Mission

The faculty and staff of Natchitoches Junior High –Frankie Ray Jackson School believe that every student is entitled to an education in a safe, disciplined, and challenging environment. Furthermore, we believe that an education must include not only academics but also basic life skills that will prepare students to live and function successfully in our society. To this end, we believe that Natchitoches Junior High School must provide a quality education that prepares students for high school. Teachers must inspire students to achieve their full potential by instilling in them a strong work ethic and desire to learn. Students must exhibit self-discipline and not infringe on the rights of other students to learn. Finally, we believe that the responsibility for the success of our students must be assumed by all – administrators, teachers, students, parents and the community.
